Writer/Editor

My work as a writer and editor covers a wide range of subjects. My best-known work covers technology, in particular my three years as News Editor, and now as a Contributing Editor, for Linux Journal, the premier magazine covering the Linux community.

In addition to technology, I have written on personal finance, individual growth, small business and startups, classic men’s style, and on occasion have delved into legal commentary and politics/government.

My writing has been featured on a number of well-known sites, including Gawker Media’s Lifehacker and The Consumerist, Envato’s Freelance Switch, and Leo Babauta’s Zen Habits.

News items written for Linux Journal graced Digg, Technorati, and Reddit, and were regularly syndicated by Linux Today, Growklaw News Picks, LXer Linux News, LWN (Linux Weekly News), and Tux Machines.

I have a strong background as a business writer, and in particular with online materials, including web copy and web-based marketing. I’m also involved in offline projects, ranging from brochures and newsletters to reports, sales letters, press releases, and presentations.
